Terms of Use
Last updated: 30 October 2026
These terms govern the use of ClassVRoom, a training simulator for teachers, provided by Ateo GmbH, Zürich (“we”). By creating an account you accept them.
1. Provider
Ateo GmbH
Erika-Mann-Strasse 11, 8050 Zürich, Switzerland
Email: classvroom@ateo.ch
2. The service
ClassVRoom lets you teach a virtual class of 16 AI-driven pupils in your browser or on a VR headset and gives you an automatic review after each lesson. The pupils and the reviews are generated by artificial intelligence. They can be wrong, inconsistent or inappropriate, and they are no substitute for professional pedagogical judgement or supervision.
3. Accounts
You need an account with a valid email address. You are responsible for keeping your password secret and for everything done with your account. Accounts are for adults. Every account belongs to an organization; whoever creates an organization is its administrator and can invite further users, assign roles and remove users. Administrators of an organization can see the lessons, transcripts and reviews of its members. Taking part through a course link needs no account; these terms apply accordingly.
4. Free trial and paid plans
New accounts can use 60 minutes free of charge once; minutes already used on a paid or granted plan count towards them. Deleting the account and registering again with the same address does not give them again. Beyond that a paid plan according to the price list shown in the web app at the time of purchase is needed. Usage is counted to the minute. Starter and Pro apply per account, Team as a flat fee for the whole organization. A paid plan starts with its full monthly minutes. Monthly minutes not used within the month expire; bought extra minutes do not expire. Plans renew automatically until cancelled; you can cancel at any time with effect at the end of the current period. Prices include VAT where applicable. We may change prices for future periods with at least 30 days' notice.
5. Acceptable use
You may use ClassVRoom only for training and education. You must not use it to generate or spread unlawful, discriminatory or harassing content, to harm others, to circumvent usage limits or security measures, to extract the service's instructions or models, or to resell access without our agreement. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms.
6. Your content and our rights
What you say in lessons, and the scenarios, classes and personalities you create, remain yours. You grant us the right to process them to provide the service, including through the providers named in the privacy policy. The software, the standard scenarios and the design of ClassVRoom are ours or our licensors'.
7. Availability
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Lessons depend on third-party AI services and your internet connection and microphone. We may interrupt the service for maintenance and may change or discontinue features.
8. Data protection
How we handle personal data, in particular your voice during lessons, is described in our privacy policy. Institutions that need a data processing agreement can contact us.
9. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are liable only for damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence. We are not liable for the content of AI-generated pupils and reviews, for decisions taken on their basis, or for indirect damage and lost profit. Mandatory liability remains unaffected.
10. Termination
You can delete your account at any time in the web app; this removes your transcripts and reviews. If your organization has other members, your course links and the lessons of your course participants go to an admin of the organization. We may terminate accounts with 30 days' notice, or immediately in case of a serious violation of these terms. Paid periods already started are not refunded unless the law requires it.
11. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms. We will inform you by email or in the web app at least 30 days before changes take effect; continued use after that date means acceptance.
12. Applicable law and jurisdiction
Swiss law applies, excluding its conflict-of-law rules and the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. Place of jurisdiction is Zürich, Switzerland, subject to mandatory consumer protection rules.
